CAPPERS API PROVIDES SPORTS STATISTICS, ODDS INFORMATION, AND DATA FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
What We Provide:
We are a data aggregation and delivery service that provides sports statistics, odds, and related information. You may use this data for any lawful purpose including analytics platforms, betting/gaming applications (where legal), fantasy sports, media, research, or any other application.
What We Are NOT:
- •We do NOT operate any gambling, betting, or wagering services or platforms
- •We are NOT affiliated with or endorsed by any sportsbooks, casinos, or betting operators
- •We do NOT provide gambling advice, predictions, or recommendations
- •We are NOT responsible for decisions, outcomes, or losses resulting from your use of the data
ALL DATA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING YOUR USE COMPLIES WITH ALL APPLICABLE LAWS IN YOUR JURISDICTION. WE ASSUME NO LIABILITY FOR YOUR USE OF THE DATA.
API License and Acceptance
These API Terms of Use ("API Terms") supplement and are incorporated into our general Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Cappers API ("API"), you accept and agree to be bound by both these API Terms and our Terms of Service.
Subject to your full compliance with these API Terms and our Terms of Service, Cappers API grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use our API solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with your active subscription plan. This license does not grant you any ownership rights to the API, data, or underlying technology.
Rate Limits and Quotas
Free Tier
1,000 requests per minute with basic endpoints access.
Pro Tier
3,000 requests per minute with full endpoint access including advanced metrics.
Elite Tier
5,000 requests per minute with priority support and dedicated infrastructure.
Authentication
All API requests must include a valid API key in the Authorization header:
Prohibited Uses and Restrictions
You expressly agree that you shall NOT:
- →Rate Limit Violations: Exceed your plan's rate limits through multiple API keys, accounts, or circumvention techniques
- →Security Breaches: Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with authentication, security features, or access controls
- →Competitive Services: Use the API to create, develop, or operate a competing sports data service or API
- →Unauthorized Distribution: Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercialize raw API responses or data
- →Data Retention: Cache, store, or retain data for longer than 24 hours without explicit written authorization
- →Service Abuse: Make excessive, abusive, or automated requests that could degrade service performance or availability
- →Reverse Engineering: Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code or algorithms
- →Data Scraping: Use automated systems, bots, or scrapers to extract data beyond API limits
- →Illegal Activities: Use the API for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- →Misrepresentation: Misrepresent your relationship with Cappers API or falsely claim endorsement
- →Service Interference: Introduce viruses, malware, or malicious code that could harm our systems or users
- →Third-Party Rights: Infringe on intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of third parties
Violation of any of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your API access, account suspension, legal action, and liability for damages.
Data Attribution and Branding
When displaying data obtained from Cappers API in any public-facing application, website, or service, you must provide clear and conspicuous attribution to Cappers API in one of the following formats:
- →"Powered by Cappers API" or "Data provided by Cappers API"
- →A clickable link to https://cappersapi.com where technically feasible
- →Our logo (when provided) with attribution text, subject to our brand guidelines
Attribution must be visible to end users and not hidden, obscured, or placed in locations where users are unlikely to see it (such as fine print or buried in terms). Failure to provide proper attribution constitutes a material breach of these API Terms.
Data Accuracy and Disclaimers
WHILE WE STRIVE TO PROVIDE ACCURATE AND TIMELY DATA, CAPPERS API MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES, OR GUARANTEES REGARDING:
- →The accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any data or statistics
- →The correctness of odds, lines, or probabilities for any sporting event
- →The outcome of any sporting event or the validity of any prediction model
- →That data will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or meet your requirements
- →The suitability of data for betting, gambling, fantasy sports, financial decisions, or any specific purpose
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT SPORTS DATA IS DYNAMIC AND MAY CONTAIN ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR DELAYS. YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR USE OF THE DATA. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSSES, DAMAGES, OR CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON OR USE OF OUR DATA, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BETTING, GAMBLING, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES.
API Changes and Versioning
We may update our API from time to time. Breaking changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance. We maintain API versioning to ensure backward compatibility.
Support and SLA
All paid plans include email support with response times based on your tier. Elite plans include priority support with guaranteed response times.
We maintain a 99.9% uptime SLA for Pro and Elite tiers. Service credits are available for SLA violations as outlined in your subscription agreement.
API Modifications and Deprecation
We reserve the right to modify, update, enhance, or deprecate any part of the API at any time. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to:
- →Provide at least 30 days advance notice for breaking changes to major API endpoints
- →Maintain backward compatibility through API versioning when feasible
- →Document changes in our changelog and communicate via email to active users
However, we may make immediate changes without notice for security, legal compliance, or critical bug fixes. Continued use of the API after modifications constitutes acceptance of the changes.
Monitoring and Enforcement
We reserve the right to monitor your use of the API to ensure compliance with these API Terms. This includes monitoring for:
- →Rate limit compliance and unusual usage patterns
- →Security threats, abuse, or unauthorized access attempts
- →Violations of prohibited uses or restrictions
- →Service quality, performance metrics, and system health
Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to immediately suspend or terminate your API access, without notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- →Violation of these API Terms or our general Terms of Service
- →Exceeding rate limits, quota violations, or abuse of the service
- →Non-payment of fees, failed payments, or suspected fraudulent activity
- →Security threats, unauthorized access attempts, or malicious activity
- →Use of the API for illegal activities or violations of applicable laws
- →Failure to respond to our inquiries or provide required information
- →Any conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful or inappropriate
Upon suspension or termination, your right to access and use the API will immediately cease. We are not obligated to provide refunds for prepaid fees upon termination for cause. You remain liable for all obligations incurred prior to termination.
You may terminate your API access at any time by canceling your subscription through your account dashboard or by contacting us. Termination by you does not relieve you of any payment obligations for the current billing period.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cappers API, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:
- →Your use or misuse of the API or any data obtained through the API
- →Your violation of these API Terms or any applicable law or regulation
- →Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any third party
- →Any losses, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the data, including but not limited to betting, gambling, or financial activities
- →Your application or service that uses the API, including end user claims
- →Unauthorized access to or disclosure of API keys or account credentials
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAPPERS API SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- →Loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, or anticipated savings
- →Loss of data, accuracy of data, or cost of substitute services
- →Business interruption or service downtime
- →Any betting, gambling, wagering, or financial losses or damages
- →Damages arising from errors, inaccuracies, delays, or omissions in data
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Compliance and Legal Use
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the API and data complies with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
- →Gambling, gaming, and betting regulations applicable to your use case and jurisdiction
- →Data protection and privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- →Consumer protection and advertising regulations
- →Financial services and money transmission laws
- →Export control and sanctions regulations
You represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary licenses, permits, and approvals required for your use of the API and data in your jurisdiction. We are not responsible for your compliance with applicable laws.
Incorporation of General Terms
These API Terms supplement and incorporate by reference our general Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these API Terms and the general Terms of Service, these API Terms shall prevail solely with respect to your use of the API. All other provisions of the Terms of Service, including but not limited to sections on Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, Dispute Resolution, and Arbitration, apply in full to your use of the API.
